Palayan City Mayor Thank Duterte, PEZA and Palayanos
The Palayan City government and all our fellow Palayanos as well as all our fellow Novo Ecijanos are very thankful to our beloved chief executive, President Rodrigo Duterte, for proclaiming the Palayan City Government Center and Central Business Hub as an Information Technology Park.
This IT Park, which is also a special economic zone, will serve as the catalyst of the much-awaited employment generation and economic progress of the great province of Nueva Ecija and our beloved city of Palayan.
I am proud to announce the entry of Sutherland Global Services, a global business process outsourcing company, at the Palayan City Business Hub (PCBH). According to Sutherland, they will commence operations this September 2018. They expect to build 1,750 seats up to June 2019.
Currently we also have an outbound call center facility, ReSourcing Global Philippines, which was the pioneer call center in Palayan City. ReSourcing Global is likewise expanding to 300 seats up to end of the year.
The Government Center at PCBH is home to the POEA One-Stop-Shop that services our modern heroes – the Overseas Filipino Workers. We are proud to be the host to 16 government agencies with satellite offices at the One-Stop-Shop.
Moreover, the PCBH will be home to the provincial offices of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Bureau of Immigration.
Aside from being the center of business process outsourcing (BPO) and government services, PCBH is also a hub of educational institutions which offer information technology, computer proficiency and business process management courses. Short term courses for our OFWs who have returned home and language courses for our young graduates who want to seek job opportunities in Japan, China and Korea are also being offered in PCBH.
Once again, I am personally grateful to our dear President Duterte, who saw the urgent need for the development of rural areas.
I am likewise thankful to Senator Richard Gordon, who has inspired me to pursue these development goals for our city and for our province.
Finally, we are all grateful to the Malaysian conglomerate, Alloy MTD Group, who has taken the first step to invest in our city and put their trust in our people.
Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat!
